Join the Fourwood Guitar Quartet for an afternoon celebrating the music of Australian composer and guitarist Damien McCluskey. Featuring an all-McCluskey program, this concert showcases the breadth of his distinctive compositional voice, from intimate lyricism to vibrant rhythmic energy. Recently awarded a grant from the Grainger Museum, McCluskey has composed a major new suite for guitar quartet inspired by the life and works of Percy Grainger, reflecting his ongoing commitment to creating innovative and engaging repertoire for the guitar. Performed by one of Australia's leading guitar ensembles, this concert offers a unique opportunity to experience an entire program dedicated to a living Australian composer.

Melbourne-based pianist Charlotte Roberts is joined by radiant violinist Rianah McInnes and dynamic cellist Aylish Jorgensen for an afternoon celebrating the remarkable voices of women in chamber music. The program features Louise Farrenc's spirited Piano Trio No. 1 in E-flat Major, Op. 33, alongside two masterpieces by Clara Schumann: her expressive Variations on a Theme by Robert Schumann, Op. 20 and the passionate Piano Trio in G minor, Op. 17. Completing the program is Aftermath by Australian composer Emily Sheppard, bringing a contemporary perspective to this rich and compelling musical journey.
