Saint Mark's Community Centre
For over 40 years, Saint Mark's has run a Community Centre to serve the people of Fitzroy.
The main program centres on a partnership between Saint Mark’s Parish and Anglicare Victoria. This program provides support to people in the community who are experiencing primary and secondary homelessness in the City of Yarra and the City of Melbourne. It includes providing emergency relief, case management, facilities such as showers and laundry as well as hot meals.
Serving around 200 people a month the centre prides itself as being inclusive to people whose lived experience is varied. This includes, amongst other marginalities, people with dual diagnoses (such as AOD, mental illness), culturally and linguistically diverse communities, as well as LGBTIQ+ and First Nations people.
